Barangaroo Metro Station

Barangaroo Metro Station, which opened in 2024, was built to improve access to the Barangaroo and Walsh Bay Arts and Culture precincts in Sydney and drive urban regeneration in the area. It was designed to be a contemporary, safe, visually comfortable and architecturally integrated station. The passenger experience was a key part of the design process, from arrival to departure.

Metro Trains Sydney wanted the plaza leading to the entrance to be a welcoming and dynamic outdoor space where people could relax and enjoy the waterfront. The goal was to build a future-ready hub with infrastructure that would enhance openness, safety and connectivity.
